6th January was the D day for three movies, Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge, Karma Aur Holi and 13B. All three of them had a very dull start. 13B and Dhoonte Reh Jaoge both opened their Box-Office accounts with only 10-15% collection that could make up to 3.25 crores nett. Karma Aur Holi also received a lukewarm response with only 5-10% collections at the Box-Office. All the three movies are expected to gain some collections because of the major holiday of Holi, approaching. But still the exam fever is on these days so the movies are expected to get an average rating by the end of the first week.
The other movies at Box-Office include Kisse Pyaar Karoon which turned in to a disaster in its first week with only a collection of 50 lakhs nett in its account. Delhi 6’s collections came down heavily in the second week as the movies could only earn a nett of 5 crores this week. The total collections calculated were 27.50 crores. Billu collected a nett of 1 crores in its third week resulting in a total of 22.75 crores. Dev D gave a steady performance with a collection of 1.10 crores in its fourth week and its total comes out to be around 14 crores. Slumdog Crorepati remained strong with 1.25 crores in its sixth week which is very much higher than its fifth week total of 71 lakhs. The total collection made by the film is 12.50 crore in six weeks.
